Job Title: Registered Nurse (RN)
Position Summary The Registered Nurse (RN) provides comprehensive healthcare services within a correctional facility setting. This role involves direct patient care, emergency response, medication administration, and adherence to safety and security protocols. Key Responsibilities
Handle sick call requests and triage inmate health concerns.
Administer medications, including insulin, and maintain accurate medication records.
Perform tool control procedures to ensure compliance with facility safety standards.
Screen and report health issues, including injuries and illnesses.
Respond to emergencies such as Narcan administration, asthma rescue, and physical force injuries.
Coordinate emergency room transfers and manage urgent care situations.
Document and report employee accidents/injuries and incidents of sexual abuse or assault.
Maintain and update inmate health records in accordance with regulatory requirements.
Complete administrative responsibilities related to inmate death, including documentation and reporting.
