Candidates: Must be local and within 50 miles Job Description: We are seeking an experienced Critical Care RN for the Pediatric Post-Anesthesia Care Unit (PACU). This role involves providing pre- and post-operative care for pediatric patients in a recovery room setting. Candidates should have strong assessment skills and the ability to work in a fast-paced acute care environment with minimal supervision. Qualifications:
Current New York State RN license
BLS certification (must be able to renew)
Minimum 1.5 years of recent experience (within past 2 years) in an acute care facility of similar size and level
Previous pediatric critical care experience required; PACU experience preferred
Experience with EPIC EMR highly desired
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
Must pass pre-employment health clearance, drug screening, and background check
No history of license suspension or professional liability claims
Responsibilities:
Provide pre- and post-operative care for pediatric patients in PACU
Perform comprehensive nursing assessments and patient care skills in an acute care setting
Monitor patient recovery and respond to changes in condition
Collaborate with surgical and anesthesia teams to ensure safe patient transitions
