Job Title:Â Registered Nurse (RN) Critical Care NIGHTS Position Type:Â Short-Term, Temporary (3 months) Location:Â Syracuse, NY Hours: 12-hour shifts Salary:Â $68 per hour Work Authorization:Â Applicants must have authorization to work for any U.S. employer without requiring sponsorship.

As a Critical Care RN on the night shift, your steady presence, clinical skill, and compassionate care make a difference in every moment. We’re seeking a dedicated RN to support some of our most vulnerable neurological patients—when they need it most.
What You’ll Do:
Deliver direct, high-acuity care to critically ill neuro patients, including those on ventilators or intracranial pressure monitors
Conduct regular neuro assessments and act swiftly in the face of change or deterioration
Administer medications, IV therapies, and treatments with precision
Manage complex equipment such as EVDs, lumbar drains, and EEG monitors
Assist in high-stakes procedures—intubation, tracheostomy, rapid sequence intubation
Provide post-op care, pain management, and emotional support to patients and families
Collaborate closely with neurologists, neurosurgeons, and interdisciplinary teams
Educate patients and families on conditions, recovery plans, and what comes next
Maintain detailed documentation using EPIC EMR
Uphold hospital safety and infection control standards
Participate in professional development and quality improvement initiatives
Who You Are:
Licensed RN in New York State
BLS certified (ACLS strongly preferred)
At least 1.5 years of recent acute care experience, including 1 year in Neuro ICU
Experienced in trauma centers or large hospital settings
Skilled in neuro-specific protocols, seizure response, and thrombolytic therapy
Confident in managing emergencies with clarity and speed
Compassionate communicator with patients, families, and colleagues
Familiar with EPIC EMR or eager to learn
