Job Description

Position Title: Paralegal Position Summary The Paralegal provides essential support to attorneys by assisting with legal research, drafting documents, managing case files, and performing a variety of administrative tasks. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, highly organized, and capable of handling sensitive information with discretion. This position requires strong communication skills and the ability to work independently as well as collaboratively within a legal team. Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct legal research and gather relevant information for cases.
  • Draft, review, and edit legal documents such as contracts, pleadings, and correspondence.
  • Prepare and organize case files, exhibits, and evidence for hearings, trials, and meetings.
  • File documents with courts and government agencies as required.
  • Assist attorneys in case preparation, including scheduling, tracking deadlines, and managing calendars.
  • Communicate with clients, witnesses, and experts to obtain information and coordinate meetings or interviews.
  • Summarize depositions, interrogatories, and testimony for attorney review.
  • Maintain confidentiality of all client and firm information.
  • Stay updated on legal procedures, relevant laws, and court rules.
  • Perform general administrative duties as assigned.
Qualifications
  • Associate’s degree or Bachelor’s degree preferred; Paralegal certificate or equivalent experience required.
  • 1-3 years of experience as a paralegal or in a related legal support role preferred.
  • Strong understanding of legal terminology, documents, and procedures.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Proficiency with legal research tools and Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook).
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize in a fast-paced environment.
  • Exceptional organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • High degree of professionalism and ethical standards.
Working Conditions
  • Full-time position, typically Monday through Friday.
  • Office environment; may require occasional overtime to meet deadlines.
  • May involve sitting for extended periods and using computers.
