Title: Nuclear Med Tech - Community DAYS - Radiologic Tech - CT/MRI Position Type: Temporary, 13-weeks Location: Syracuse, NY Shifts: Shift: 7:30am - 4:00pm, Possible evening and weekend on-call Work Authorization: Must be authorized to work in the U.S. without sponsorship. Candidates: Must live within 50 miles of Syracuse, NY Position Summary: Under general supervision, the Nuclear Medicine Technologist performs routine diagnostic nuclear medicine procedures using advanced imaging equipment. This role may include individual responsibility for training and leading the work of other technologists or support staff. The technologist ensures accurate imaging, patient safety, and compliance with regulatory standards.
Key Responsibilities:
Perform diagnostic nuclear medicine procedures using gamma cameras and related equipment.
Administer radiopharmaceuticals and monitor patient reactions.
Operate and maintain Siemens EVOSPECT and Phillips Forte cameras.
Utilize NMIS in the hot lab for dose preparation and inventory tracking.
Document patient information and procedures in EPIC and Synapse PACS.
Ensure proper radiation safety protocols are followed.
Assist in training and mentoring junior staff as needed.
Maintain accurate records and comply with NYS DOH and federal regulations.
Required Qualifications:
Associate of Applied Science (AAS) in Radiologic Technology.
Current NYS license/registration as a Nuclear Medicine Technologist.
ARRT or CNMT certification in Nuclear Medicine or board eligibility.
Current CPR certification.
Minimum of 1 year of experience in the field.
Proficiency with EPIC and Synapse PACS systems.
Preferred Skills:
Strong attention to detail and patient care.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
