We are seeking an experienced and compassionate Mental Health Therapy Aide to join a dynamic pediatric behavioral health team. In this essential role, you’ll provide both direct and indirect patient care in a fast-paced, therapeutic environment that values safety, empathy, and teamwork.

What You’ll Do:
Deliver hands-on patient care in an acute pediatric psychiatric setting with minimal supervision
Take and record vital signs, collect specimens, and monitor patient intake/output
Assist with patient admissions, including documentation and orientation to unit routines
Support patients with hygiene and activities of daily living (ADLs)
Build therapeutic relationships under the guidance of nursing staff
Engage in supportive interactions during unit activities and routines
Intervene calmly and appropriately during patient crisis situations
Observe and report changes in patient behavior and response to treatment
Apply age-appropriate clinical and psychological interventions
Conduct safety checks and ensure a secure, supportive environment
Assist with physical examinations and collaborate on patient care plans
Communicate effectively with nurses, physicians, and other care team members
Support overall unit operations and participate in team-based decision making
What You Bring:
Minimum 1 year of pediatric psychiatric experience required
BLS certification required
Prior experience in an inpatient mental health setting strongly preferred
Proficiency with Electronic Medical Records (EMR)
Strong interpersonal and communication skills
Compassionate and patient-centered mindset
Ability to remain calm, focused, and supportive in high-stress situations
Collaborative attitude and commitment to team-based care
