Are you drawn to nursing because you want to make a real difference in people’s lives, especially the lives of children who are struggling and need your calm, steady presence? This role offers you the chance to be part of something deeply meaningful: helping young patients heal, grow, and find stability in the midst of emotional and behavioral challenges.

As an LPN in a Pediatric Bio-Behavioral Unit, you will be a source of comfort and care during some of the most difficult moments in a child’s life. You will be part of a close-knit care team that relies on compassion, consistency, and communication to create a safe, supportive environment where healing can begin.

This is not just a nursing job, it’s a calling. And if you feel it, we would love to have you with us.

What You’ll Do:
  • Care for children and adolescents in an inpatient psychiatric setting with empathy and professionalism
  • Support patients with daily routines and assist in building structure, trust, and safety
  • Take and record vital signs, administer injections, and assist with medical procedures
  • Prepare exam rooms and ensure a clean, organized clinical environment
  • Assist physicians during exams and treatments
  • Guide families through the care process with kindness and clear communication
  • Coordinate with insurance providers and primary care offices for authorizations and referrals
  • Carry out nursing care plans and observe how patients respond to treatment
  • Be a steady, supportive presence on a team that is passionate about helping kids thrive

Shift Details:
  • Day Shift: 7:00 am to 7:30 pm
  • Every other weekend required
  • Some holidays required as part of the rotation

What You’ll Bring:
  • A current New York State LPN license
  • CPR certification or the ability to be certified or recertified
  • At least one year of nursing experience
  • Psychiatric nursing experience is required
  • Pediatric experience is strongly preferred
  • A calm and caring presence, even in high-stress situations
  • Strong communication skills, both with patients and as part of a healthcare team
  • Familiarity with Electronic Medical Records is a plus

This role requires more than clinical skill—it calls for heart, patience, and a genuine belief in the potential of every child. If you’re looking for a place where your care matters, where your presence can ease fear and build hope, we invite you to apply.
