Job Title:Certified Nursing Assistant – Emergency Department (Evenings) Position Type: Short-Term, Temporary (3 months) Location: Syracuse, NY Hours: 8hour shifts Salary: Based on Experience Work Authorization: Applicants must have authorization to work for any U.S. employer without requiring sponsorship.
Summary:
Experienced Certified Nursing Assistant with over two years of patient care experience, including work in Level 1 trauma hospital settings. Demonstrates strong communication and teamwork skills, with a consistent focus on patient safety and comfort. Skilled in providing direct and indirect nursing care such as obtaining vital signs, assisting with toileting, bathing, feeding, and serving as a safety companion for patients at risk. Brings a solid understanding of normal growth and development and adapts care to meet changing patient needs. Committed to maintaining a safe, ethical, and high-quality care environment in fast-paced emergency settings.
Key Qualifications:
Current New York State Nursing Assistant Certification
BLS Certified
Minimum two years of experience providing ADLs
Experience working as a safety companion
Strong interpersonal and communication skills
Available to work 6 shifts (12 hours each) every two weeks, including every other weekend
Emergency Float Pool assignment at Upstate University Hospital
