Job Title: Registered Nurse (RN) - Labor and Delivery NIGHTS
Position Type: Short-Term, Temporary (3 months)
Location: Syracuse, NY
Hours: 12-hour shifts
Salary: $67 per hour
Work Authorization: Applicants must have authorization to work for any U.S. employer without requiring sponsorship.

You help bring life into the world — and hold space for families when it matters most.

As a Labor & Delivery RN, you are more than a nurse — you’re a calm voice in chaos, a steady hand in transition, and a guardian of both joy and safety. Whether it’s a first breath or a complicated C-section, you show up with confidence, compassion, and clinical skill to carry families through one of life’s most unforgettable moments.

This is not just a job. It’s a calling — and your shift begins when the rest of the world is asleep.

What You'll Do:
  • Care for laboring patients, postpartum mothers, and newborns with vigilance and empathy
  • Float between Labor & Delivery, Postpartum, and Nursery units as needed
  • Circulate and scrub for C-sections with surgical precision and focus
  • Provide emotional and physical support to patients and families throughout their birth journey
  • Perform comprehensive maternal and neonatal assessments
  • Monitor fetal heart tones, labor progression, and vital signs
  • Administer medications and respond to emergent changes in patient status
  • Accurately document in EPIC and follow hospital protocols
  • Uphold the highest standards of infection control and patient safety

Who You Are:
  • A Registered Nurse licensed in New York State
  • BLS certified and eligible to recertify
  • Experienced in L&D, Postpartum, and Nursery, with at least 1.5 years of acute care within the past 2 years
  • Proficient in circulating and scrubbing C-sections
  • Comfortable in fast-paced environments and floating between units
  • Skilled with EPIC EMR (preferred)
  • Emotionally intelligent, adaptable, and a clear communicator
  • Available for night shifts, including every other weekend and some holidays

Why This Matters:

Because every delivery is more than a medical event — it’s someone’s beginning. And while no two births are ever the same, one constant remains: you. Your presence, your care, your steady guidance in the unknown.

Be the one who makes a difference from the very first breath. Submit your resume today.
