Title: Registered Nurse Team Leader, Hospice (3)
Position Type: Permanent, Full-time Agency: New York City health system Location: Manhattan Hours: Monday – Friday, 9:00 am – 5:00 pm Salary: $106K-125K plus $15,000 Sign-on Bonus or Student Loans Assistance, paid over the course of 3 years.

Their range of health services include home care, hospice and palliative care for adults and children, rehabilitation and nursing care and the research-based institution for innovation in palliative care. They also offer health plans for Medicare and dual-eligible individuals. Their ability to serve at-risk members of the community is supported by the efforts of their non-for-profit foundation, which raises funds to help support their quality programs and services not reimbursed by insurance or government programs. In addition, the generosity of grateful families, private and corporate donors and grants, as well as their own employees, also support their specialized services.
Our client, one of the nations largest Jewish healthcare systems, has 3 open roles for Registered Nurse Team Leaders. The Nurse Team Leader supports the Team Manager position by providing leadership and guidance to the professional staff on a day-to-day basis to ensure the provision of Hospice services are consistent with the philosophy, goals, and policies of the program.
Responsibilities:
Supports the Hospice Nurse Manager position by providing leadership guidance to the professional staff on a day-to-day basis to ensure the provision of Hospice and Palliative Care services are consistent with the philosophy, goals, and policies of the our client.
Mentors and provides leadership direction to the professional staff as directed by the Hospice Nurse Manager.
The schedule includes functioning in a backup On Call capacity 2-3 times per month and 2-3 holidays per year.
Requirements:
NYS RN License required. BSN preferred
Hospice nursing experience required; Supervisory or leadership experience preferred.
Bilingual skills (Spanish, Cantonese or Mandarin)
Valid drivers license required for some areasÂ
Effectively supervises, mentors and coaches home care nursesÂ
Works effectively within an interdisciplinary team environmentÂ
Multi-tasks and prioritize effectivelyÂ
Possess strong clinical skills and knowledge of Home Health Care regulationsÂ
Possess teaching, communication, and listening skillsÂ
Possess critical thinking skillsÂ
Possess organizational skills
Candidates are required to pass a pharmacology test as part of the recruitment process
