Job Description

Title: Registered Nurse
Position Type: Long-term, temporary (1+ years)
Location: Rome, NY
Hours: Mon.-Fri. 8:00am-4:30pm
Salary: TBD

Responsibilities
  • Provide Injections for clinic clients and complete necessary documentation; make medication sheet for each client that gets injections.
For client’s on Clozaril:
  • Track required monthly lab work on spreadsheet
  • Submit lab work into the REMS system
  • If clients are overdue, reach out
  • Fax lab work to pharmacies if requested
 
  • Ensure EKGs are done as required
  • Complete Metabolics on clinic clients and complete necessary documentation; make any referrals and linkages that are needed
  • Complete Health screens on clinic clients and complete necessary documentation
  • Maintain spreadsheets for injections/health screens
  • Triage calls
  • Review RHIO hospital notes and brief relative staff
  • Answer calls from the Medline and process requests/handle issues with Scripts, side effects, etc.

Coordinate/advocate care with medical PCP’s and specialties:
  • Call doctor’s offices and lab sites to get lab results, medical notes
  • Call hospitals to get reports on the clients that have gone to the ER or are in-patient
 
  • Obtain Prior authorizations, and handle insurance issues regarding medications, (mostly injections)
  • Maintain AOT binder
  • Assist prescribers with various tasks as needed

Requirements
  • Must be a licensed Registered Nurse in New York State.
  • Must be currently registered as a professional nurse in New York State.
