Title: Registered Nurse Position Type: Long-term, temporary (1+ years) Location: Brentwood, NY Hours: Hours Vary Salary: $50 per hour
We are currently seeking dedicated and compassionate Registered Nurses (RNs) to join our client. Under the direct supervision of a Registered Nurse Supervisor or Registered Nurse, the RN will play a vital role in providing high-quality nursing care and ensuring the well-being of our clients. The ideal candidate will possess strong clinical skills, a commitment to patient-centered care, and the ability to work effectively as part of a team.
Responsibilities:
Provide direct nursing care to clients, including but not limited to:
Conducting comprehensive admission assessments to gather relevant health information.
Dispensing medication and administering physician-ordered medical treatments.
Collecting specimens for laboratory analysis or culture.
Deliver health education to clients, empowering them to make informed decisions about their health and well-being.
Monitor and assess client behavior, identifying any changes or concerns that may require intervention.
Evaluate the needs of clients, including an assessment of the care they receive, available services, and potential obstacles to their success.
Perform crisis intervention with clients, addressing psychological, physiological, and behavioral emergencies in a compassionate and professional manner.
Maintain accurate and detailed reports and records, utilizing electronic systems or physical documentation as appropriate.
Create and maintain a safe and therapeutic environment for clients, implementing appropriate measures to promote their well-being.
Collaborate with the multidisciplinary team, including nurses, physicians, and other healthcare professionals, to develop and implement individualized care plans.
Requirements:
Valid Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of New York.
Minimum 1 years of nursing experience, preferably in a similar healthcare setting.
Strong clinical skills, with the ability to perform comprehensive assessments and deliver appropriate nursing interventions.
Knowledge of nursing protocols, standards of health care, licensing standards, and NYS regulations.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport with clients and effectively collaborate with the healthcare team.
Demonstrated ability to handle crisis situations with empathy and professionalism.
Proficiency in maintaining accurate and detailed electronic or physical records.
Commitment to maintaining a safe and therapeutic environment for clients.
Strong organizational skills and the ability to prioritize tasks effectively.
