Position Overview: One of our clients in a Residential Center is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Registered Nurse (RN) to join our healthcare team. The RN will provide high-quality medical care to the youth residents, ensuring their physical and mental well-being. This role requires a professional who is committed to making a positive impact in a juvenile residential setting.
Key Responsibilities:
Patient Care: Provide comprehensive nursing care to residents, including assessments, treatments, and follow-up care.
Medication Administration: Administer medications as prescribed and monitor for side effects or adverse reactions.
Health Assessments: Conduct initial and ongoing health assessments, develop care plans, and document medical histories.
Emergency Response: Respond to medical emergencies and provide first aid or life-saving interventions as needed.
Collaboration: Work closely with physicians, mental health professionals, and other healthcare staff to coordinate care.
Education: Educate residents on health maintenance, disease prevention, and healthy lifestyle choices.
Documentation: Maintain accurate and up-to-date medical records in compliance with regulatory standards.
Compliance: Ensure all nursing practices adhere to state and federal regulations, as well as facility policies.
Qualifications:
Licensure: Current Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of New York.
Experience: Previous experience in a residential or correctional facility is preferred but not required.
Skills: Strong clinical skills, excellent communication, and the ability to work effectively in a team environment.
Attributes: Compassionate, patient, and able to handle stressful situations with professionalism.
