Overview: Our client is seeking a Registered Nurse to provide comprehensive nursing care and medication administration in a juvenile correctional setting. The role involves delivering nursing interventions consistent with regulatory standards and a systematic problem-solving approach.
Key Responsibilities:
Medical Inventory Management: Maintain general medical inventory, including controlled substances.
Medication Administration: Conduct medication administration for youth.
Health Condition Reviews: Prepare, review, and evaluate nursing intervention plans based on the overall health conditions of youth.
Treatment Plan Consistency: Ensure nursing interventions align with comprehensive treatment plans.
Staff Training: Participate in staff training sessions.
Report Preparation: Prepare required clinical and administrative reports.
Infection Control: Maintain infection control standards.
Team Collaboration: Serve as a member of the facility’s medical treatment team.

Qualifications:
Licensure: Licensed RN and registered to practice nursing in New York State.
Experience: Minimum of one year of post-licensure nursing experience.
Skills:
Strong organizational and analytical skills.

Knowledge of infection control standards and practices.
