Our client, one of the nations largest Jewish healthcare systems, has 3 open roles for Registered Nurse Team Leaders. The Nurse Team Leader supports the Team Manager position by providing leadership and guidance to the professional staff on a day-to-day basis to ensure the provision of Hospice services are consistent with the philosophy, goals, and policies of the program.
Responsibilities:
Supports the Hospice Nurse Manager position by providing leadership guidance to the professional staff on a day-to-day basis to ensure the provision of Hospice and Palliative Care services are consistent with the philosophy, goals, and policies of the our client. Mentors and provides leadership direction to the professional staff as directed by the Hospice Nurse Manager.
The schedule includes functioning in a backup On Call capacity 2-3 times per month and 2-3 holidays per year.
Requirements:
NYS RN License required. BSN preferred
Hospice nursing experience required; Supervisory or leadership experience preferred.
Bilingual skills (Spanish, Cantonese or Mandarin)
Valid drivers license required for some areas
Effectively supervises, mentors and coaches home care nurses
Works effectively within an interdisciplinary team environment
Multi-tasks and prioritize effectively
Possess strong clinical skills and knowledge of Home Health Care regulations
Possess teaching, communication, and listening skills
Possess critical thinking skills
Possess organizational skills
Candidates are required to pass a pharmacology test as part of the recruitment process
