We’re seeking experienced and adaptable Emergency Department Registered Nurses to join our Night Shift Float Team. In this high-impact role, you’ll care for both adult and pediatric patients, floating between the Adult ED, Pediatric ED, and other cross-campus Emergency Departments as needed. This is an ideal opportunity for confident, trauma-experienced nurses who thrive in a fast-paced, high-acuity environment.
You’ll play a crucial role in delivering exceptional emergency care across multiple departments while working within a collaborative, mission-driven team.
What You’ll Do:
Deliver comprehensive emergency nursing care to adult and pediatric patients
Respond to acute situations with strong clinical judgment and rapid assessment
Float across Adult ED, Pediatric ED, and other affiliated emergency departments
Monitor patient condition, administer medications, and provide critical interventions
Collaborate with physicians and multidisciplinary teams to coordinate effective care
Accurately document patient care using EPIC (preferred)
Maintain a calm, efficient, and supportive presence in high-stress scenarios
What We’re Looking For:
Current New York State RN license and registration
BLS Certification (must be current or eligible for recertification)
Minimum of 1.5 years of recent experience (within the last 2 years) in an acute care hospital of similar size and scope
Experience with both adult and pediatric patients required
Level 1 or Level 2 trauma center experience strongly preferred
EPIC EMR experience preferred
Strong interpersonal, critical thinking, and communication skills
Clean professional background—no disciplinary actions, investigations, or liability claims
Must be legally authorized to work in the U.S.
Must pass a pre-employment health clearance, drug screen, and background check
