We’re seeking a compassionate and skilled Registered Nurse to join our Endoscopy team, where advanced procedures meet human connection. In this critical care role, you won’t just assist in life-saving diagnostics and treatments—you’ll guide patients through moments of anxiety with your knowledge, empathy, and steady hands.
Whether you’re monitoring vitals in recovery or supporting complex endoscopic procedures, your role will be central to a patient’s experience, healing, and safety.
What You'll Do:
Perform comprehensive nursing assessments before, during, and after endoscopic procedures
Administer IV therapies, sedation, and medications with precision and care
Assist physicians with EGDs, colonoscopies, ERCPs, and other therapeutic procedures
Monitor patients during recovery, watching for complications and ensuring a smooth transition post-procedure
Document thoroughly using EPIC Electronic Medical Records
Educate patients and families on what to expect, providing clarity and comfort
Follow strict infection control and safety protocols to maintain a protected environment
Respond swiftly to emergencies with ACLS-level critical thinking (if certified)
What You Bring:
Current NYS RN license in good standing
BLS certification (required) and ACLS preferred
1.5+ years of recent acute care experience in a hospital setting
Experience in Endoscopy, ICU, PACU, or procedural nursing strongly preferred
Travelers welcome with experience in trauma centers or similar large hospitals
Proficiency in acute assessments, patient-centered care, and teamwork
EPIC EMR experience is a plus
A calm, confident presence and excellent communication skills
