We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated professional Registered Nurse to join one of our teams located in Utica, NY at a facility specializing in addiction treatment for adult men and women. Their mission is to empower individuals to recover by utilizing evidence-based practices tailored to meet their individual needs.
Responsibilities:
Provide individualized treatment based on the strengths, needs, abilities, and preferences of each patient.
Conduct educational groups, individual and group therapy, and medication-assisted interventions to support the recovery process.
Work with individuals with dual diagnoses using an integrated, holistic, and comprehensive approach.
Participate in the specialized Women’s Program, including women’s group therapy and addressing women’s issues.
Develop and implement discharge plans early in treatment, involving patients in creating a continuing care plan to maintain abstinence and recovery.
Collaborate with a multi-disciplinary treatment team, including addiction counselors, social workers, psychologists, medical and nursing staff, recreation therapists, and support staff.
Conduct heroin and opioid overdose prevention training sessions, teaching participants how to recognize an overdose and administer naloxone.
Requirements:
Current certification and licensure in relevant fields.
Experience in addiction treatment and working with dual diagnosis patients.
Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
Ability to work effectively in a team-oriented environment.
Commitment to providing high-quality, patient-centered care.
Must be licensed registered nurse, registered in New York.
Must be able to work, days, evenings, and nights.Â
