Title: Program Coordinator
Position Type: Long-Term, Temporary (1+ years)
Location: Long Island City, NY
Hours: Full-time
Salary: $39 - 68 per hour

Our client, a NYC organization whose mission is to design and construct public schools throughout New York City.

The Program Cordinator provides assistance to Directors, Managers, Department Heads and Project Teams in the day-to-day operations of the Department’s operations.  The job responsibilities include but are not limited to the management of people, processes, and/or projects by ensuring the efficient and continual management of their assigned area, the development of policies and/or procedures and produce reports for leadership.

Responsbilities:
  • Generate and produce daily reports for senior management to address specific operational issues and to assist in policy development.
  • Contribute to the creation and updating of policies and procedures within your area of responsibility.
  • Act as a liaison among various Departments, Divisions, and Units.
  • Plan, assign, monitor, review, and evaluate the work of participants in the DOPP program.
  • Develop and deliver training programs for A&E consultants involved in the DOPP program.
  • Support BDD’s outreach efforts to engage new firms, expanding the list of certified A&E consultants who are minority, women, or local business enterprises.
  • Explore new business opportunities for minority, women, and local business firms to enhance their involvement in consultant projects.
  • Conduct EEO reviews to ensure that consultants comply with relevant MWBE utilization requirements.
Requirements:
  • Ability to research and perform analytical reviews 
  • Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint 
  • Strong organizational skills
  • Strong communication and writing skills
  • Ability to work independently
  • Strong collaboration skills
  • Preferred/Not required experience in architecture and engineering, in particular with the scope, design, and construction process
