What You’ll Do:
Provide primary medical care to adult psychiatric inpatients, Monday through Friday
Conduct routine examinations, address emergent concerns, and manage chronic conditions
Attend and contribute to clinical meetings and document patient care clearly and thoroughly
Collaborate with a supportive care team including nursing, aides, and mental health professionals
Maintain oversight during business hours with the option of occasional beeper coverage, which may involve cross-coverage for younger patients (note: a pediatrician is already on-site for under-18 care)

What You’ll Need:
Unrestricted license to practice medicine in New York State
Board certification in Internal Medicine or Family Practice
Residency training completed in internal medicine or family practice
At least 1 year of experience in a public or private inpatient setting (State experience preferred)
Enrollment in Medicare & Medicaid
Current DEA registration, BLS certification, and completion of:
60 hours CME
Infection control training
Pain management certificates (Part 1 & 2)
