As a Physician Assistant in this welcoming, student-centered college clinic, you’ll be that person.
This role is more than clinical—it’s relational. It’s your opportunity to care for a diverse population of young adults, many of whom are navigating their first experiences with independent healthcare. You’ll build trust, promote well-being, and offer calm reassurance when it’s needed most.
What You’ll Do:
Provide compassionate, primary care to college students in a supportive, outpatient setting
Take patient histories and perform physical exams to guide clinical decisions
Order and interpret lab tests and diagnostics (both in-house and commercial)
Prescribe appropriate medications and walk students through treatment plans
Perform in-house procedures like wound care, nebulizer treatments, injections, venipuncture, and PPDs
Offer clear, kind guidance to students, many of whom are learning to navigate care for the first time
Collaborate with physicians and refer patients to local urgent care or hospitals as needed
Document care in the electronic medical record system (preferably Medicat)
Support department operations, attend team meetings, and stay active in ongoing education
Contribute to student health education and wellness outreach programs when possible

What You’ll Bring:
Master’s Degree
Licensed PA in New York State
Current NCCPA certification
CPR/AED certification
At least 2 years of experience post-licensure in a primary care or ambulatory care setting
