Our client, NYC’s largest transportation government agency, is seeking a Physician's Assistant to conduct Ready-for-Work assessments for internal employees. The physician assistant will deliver efficient and professional patient care, with a strong focus on employee health services.
Responsibilities:
FMLA review and determinations
Request specific medical information from other healthcare providers.
Liaison activities between employees/candidates and physician requests.
Maintain accurate documentation, ensuring compliance with EMR usage and meeting agency-specific compliance requirements
Requirements:
Licensed PA or NP in NYS
Minimum 2 years clinical experience
Broad understanding of common medical conditions, medications, treatment types
Understanding of recovery periods from illness and injury
Excellent computer literacy
Excellent organizational and record-keeping skills
