Our client is seeking Paralegals and Legal Assistants for a long-term, temporary position. This role offers flexibility with options for fully remote, hybrid, or in-office work. Candidates will need to report to the office for equipment pickup/return, training, and any operational requirements.
Responsibilities:
Draft decisions after fair hearings for Nassau and Suffolk Counties based on guidance from the presiding Administrative Law Judge, evidence, audio recordings, and proprietary decision drafting software.
Listen to hearings in real-time and state appearance on the record as directed.
Utilize recommended outcomes, credibility assessments, and other relevant information provided by Administrative Law Judges to draft decisions including correct and relevant law, findings of fact, analysis, and directives.
Work Schedule:
Monday through Friday, 9:00am to 5:00pm (Eastern Time).
Work 7.5 hours each day with a 30-minute lunch break.
Two 15-minute breaks (one in the morning and one in the afternoon) are allowed on state time. Breaks cannot be used to shorten the workday.
