Our client is looking for a paralegal. This state agency works to protect New Yorkers, combats crime, ensures public safety, defends civil rights, fights for workers, safeguards our environment, and more.
Responsibilities:
Mange administrative aspect of serving subpoenas and other documents.
Manage subpoena and document responses including organizing and getting loaded on Relativity.
Search Accurint and other databases.
Prepare materials for exams, depositions, and court for attorneys, including document searches on Relativity.
Take notes of meetings and interview and prepare memos of the meeting and interviews.
Requirements:
High school diploma required. Paralegal certification r BA degree preferred.
Must have two years experience working in a law firm or a government agency;
Excellent working knowledge of Microsoft Office, specifically Word and Excel.
Experience reviewing legal or financial documents;
Experience creating letters, notices and other documents;
Experience proof-reading;
Organized, professional and focused; and Detail-oriented.
