Title: Nurse Practitioner (NP) Position Type: Long-term, temporary (1+ years) Location: New York, NY Hours: 8:30am-4:30pm Salary: TBD Note: Must be authorized to work for any employer in the U.S. No sponsorships available.
The selected candidate will serve as Attending Nurse Practitioner and will provide clinical care on the 12-bed inpatient clinical research Eating Disorders Unit.
Responsibilities
Support state-of-the-art mental health research activities;
Educate medical students, psychiatric residents, and psychology interns and externs in the treatment of individuals with severe eating disorders.
Provide direct psychiatric care to patients admitted to the EDU and will also work with postgraduate trainees in the diagnosis and treatment of individuals with severe eating disorders.
Requirements
Must be certified in NYS as a psychiatric nurse practitioner.
Experience working with patients with eating disorders and with child/adolescent patients preferred.
