Title: Management Specialist
Position Type: Long-Term, Temporary (1+ years)
Location: Long Island City, NY
Hours: 8:30am - 5:0opm
Salary: Up to $38 per hour
Work Authorization: Must be authorized to work in the U.S. without sponsorship.

Our client, an organization focused on construction, is looking for a Management Specialist to work in its Business Deveopment Division.
 

Responsibilities:
  • Bid & Award vetting, Limited List vetting, BDD Monthly Compliance Report, Log & Maintain data on construction contracts compliance, Miscellaneous BDD support.
  • Performs database and spreadsheet development for maintenance, updating and reporting of information.
  • Assists Business Development staff in preparing, planning, and researching information or programs related to Minority or Women Businesses. 
  • Monitor construction contract compliance performance.
  • Log and maintain data on construction contract compliance.
  • Review procurement documents for MWBE inclusion/compliance of professional construction contracts.
  • Update Subcontract utilization Plans (SUP)
  • Vet Mentor Subcontractor Approval Forms Mentor Limited Lists
  • Provide prime contractors with Monthly updated project MWLBE reports
  • Participate in the authority’s outreach efforts to new firms in order to expand the pool of certified minority, women and local business enterprises.
  • Knowledge of Windows, Excel, Word, and database applications.
  • Assist BDD staff, as necessary.

Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or related field
  • 2+ years of experience in a similar technical and analytical role
  • Strong communication skills for interacting with both technical and non-technical stakeholders
  • Experience in statistical analysis and data visualization tools
  • Knowledge of MWLBE programs and regulations preferred
  • Strong understanding of information systems and technical proficiency
  • Proficiency in MS Suite, with an emphasis on MS Excel for data management and reporting
  • Analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Organizational and time management skills
  • Collaborative skills for working with cross-functional teams
