Job Description

Title: Mail Clerk
Position Type: Long-term, temporary (1+ years)
Location: Troy, NY
Hours: 6:00am-2:00pm, 40 hours a week
Salary: TBD

Responsibilities
  • Prepare incoming and outgoing mail for distribution.
  • Open, read, sort, and route mail.
  • Keep necessary records and completed forms.
  • Prepare presorted mail for USPS.
  • Retrieve print jobs from print operators & deliver them to the appropriate areas (e.g., delivery doc, mail center etc.)
  • Forwards misdirected mail.
  • Prepare & distribute communications with customers.
  • Complete administrative tasks (e.g., filling out reconciliation reports, ordering supplies etc.).
  • Other job duties as assigned.
Requirements
  • High School diploma.
  • Ability to lift to 50 lbs. repeatedly during mail preparation.
  • Ability to prepare and maintain standard records and reports.
  • Ability to understand and carry out oral and written instructions.
