Title: Mail Clerk Position Type: Short-term, temporary (less than 6 months) Location: Albany, NY Hours: Monday-Friday, 8am - 4pm Salary: $16-18 per hour Work Authorization: Applicants must have authorization to work for any U.S. employer without requiring sponsorship. Our client provides technology services, support, and resources to school districts, and other educational institutions throughout the northeastern region of New York State.
Responsibilities
This work is steady paced and intense with defined deadlines. Applicants must be able to handle the demands of the work environment including lifting and moving reams of paper, packages, stacks of paper as well as continuous movement within the environment. All applicants will be required to sign a confidentiality agreement due to the nature of the documents being handled
Work collaboratively with others to print, prepare for mailing, and mail approximately 500 schools answer sheets
Receiving and unpacking mail
Alphabetizing and organizing information
Using scanning machines
Basic Data entry and lookup
Basic e-mail communication
Record/notes keeping
Paper filing
Requirements
High School Diploma or Equivalency.
Candidate should have at least one year of experience in clerical support related work.
