Job Type: Full-Time, Permanent
Location: Brooklyn, NY
Hours: 8:00am-4:30pm
Salary: $45,000-$48,000

Job Description
We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive HR Assistant to support the daily administrative functions of our Human Resources department. In this entry-level role, you will learn to serve as a key point of contact, facilitating clear and efficient communication between HR, department managers, employees, and clients. This is a growth-focused opportunity ideal for someone looking to build a long-term career in Human Resources.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Handle employment verifications, background checks, and employee terminations
  • Maintain accurate employee records in the ATS, including disciplinary notes, address, and contact updates
  • Manage the offboarding process for temporary staff, ensuring database updates and distribution of exit materials
  • Distribute HR policies and participate in monthly staff meetings
  • Coordinate and distribute mandatory compliance trainings, including sexual harassment prevention
  • Maintain and update the New Hire and Termination Logs, ensuring accuracy and completeness
  • Review monthly insurance and background check invoices, identifying and correcting discrepancies
  • Support special projects and assignments as needed
Required Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources REQUIRED
  • 1-2 years of administrative experience. 
  • Experience working with a database (CRM, ATS) is a prefered
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, Adobe, and Microsoft Teams is a plus
  • Strong attention to detail with accurate data entry skills
  • Highly organized and adaptable in a fast-paced environment
  • Demonstrated ability to handle confidential and sensitive information with discretion
  • Excellent customer service skills.
  • Bilingual in Spanish is a strong plus
  • This is an ENTRY-LEVEL position for new graduates.
