Title: DEIB Consultant – Strategic Partnerships, Research & Policy Development Position Type: Long-Term Temporary (up to 2 years) Location: Brooklyn, NY Salary: $35, depending on experience Hours: Part-time, 20-30 hours per week
Responsibilities:
Conduct ongoing research to stay informed of federal and state-level developments affecting MWBE programs.
Collaborate with stakeholders, including legal experts, government agencies, and advocacy groups, to gather insights and make policy recommendations.
Work with existing and potential NYCPS vendors to support their understanding and compliance with NYCPS MWBE policies, including MWBE subcontracting requirements.
Develop strategies that preempt potential litigation or policy challenges at the state and federal levels.
Provide periodic updates and briefings to NYCPS on emerging trends, threats, and opportunities related to MWBE initiatives.
Identify potential areas for policy improvement or development that could further support MWBE goals.
Assist in drafting proposals for regulatory, policy, or statutory amendments to bolster MWBE initiatives.
Facilitate stakeholder meetings and discussions to ensure a broad consensus on proposed changes and strategies.
Strategic planning and research reports on federal and state developments affecting MWBE programs.
Consultant will provide monthly updates on progress and developments in risk assessment, litigation support, strategic research, and policy development.
