Title: Capital and Grants Management Analyst (Management Specialist)

Our client, a leading New York City organization overseeing school construction in all five boroughs, is urgently seeking a Capital and Grants Management Analyst to support their Office of Capital, Grants & Finance. If you're ready to use your technical and analytical skills to ensure funds are used wisely and systems run efficiently, this role will allow you to make a tangible impact on the future of education in NYC.
What You’ll Do:
  • Support the review of capital project scopes and software licensing to ensure compliance with GASB 96
  • Build smart models and systems that solve operational problems and improve internal processes
  • Assist in designing and rolling out division-wide management strategies
  • Help identify inefficiencies and implement corrective procedures
  • Conduct system audits to evaluate new protocols and improvements
  • Analyze how resources are allocated and help the team make strategic decisions
  • Prepare detailed reports that drive funding accountability and performance
  • Work alongside teams dedicated to building and maintaining better schools

What You Bring:
  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field
  • 5+ years of experience in management reporting, financial analysis, or data analytics
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and knowledge of SQL-based databases (MySQL, PostgreSQL, MS SQL Server)
  • Strong independent research skills and analytical thinking
  • Clear, confident communication and a collaborative approach
  • A drive to do meaningful work with measurable results
