Our client, a leading New York City organization overseeing school construction in all five boroughs, is urgently seeking a Capital and Grants Management Analyst to support their Office of Capital, Grants & Finance. If you're ready to use your technical and analytical skills to ensure funds are used wisely and systems run efficiently, this role will allow you to make a tangible impact on the future of education in NYC.
What You’ll Do:
Support the review of capital project scopes and software licensing to ensure compliance with GASB 96
Build smart models and systems that solve operational problems and improve internal processes
Assist in designing and rolling out division-wide management strategies
Help identify inefficiencies and implement corrective procedures
Conduct system audits to evaluate new protocols and improvements
Analyze how resources are allocated and help the team make strategic decisions
Prepare detailed reports that drive funding accountability and performance
Work alongside teams dedicated to building and maintaining better schools
What You Bring:
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field
5+ years of experience in management reporting, financial analysis, or data analytics
Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and knowledge of SQL-based databases (MySQL, PostgreSQL, MS SQL Server)
Strong independent research skills and analytical thinking
Clear, confident communication and a collaborative approach
A drive to do meaningful work with measurable results
