Job Title: Auditor (Financial Examiner)
Position Type: Full-Time, Temporary
Location: Albany, NY
Days/Hours: Monday- Friday, 9am - 5pm

As an Auditor for pharmacy benefits oversight, you won’t just review spreadsheets—you’ll help safeguard the health and finances of millions of New Yorkers. This is your opportunity to be part of something bigger, where your skills help ensure systems serve people the way they’re meant to.
Your Responsibilities:
  • Conduct in-depth audits of pharmacy benefit managers (PBMs) to ensure compliance with New York State laws and healthcare regulations
  • Analyze financial documents, operational procedures, and business practices to identify risks and inconsistencies
  • Prepare clear, actionable recommendations that improve accountability and regulatory compliance
  • Draft comprehensive reports and correspondence reflecting audit findings and agency standards
  • Support efforts to uphold ethical practices in the delivery of pharmacy benefits and services
  • Collaborate with colleagues on audit planning, presentations, and improvement initiatives

What You’ll Need: Minimum Education (must meet one of the following):
? A bachelor’s degree (or higher) in accounting, auditing, finance, economics, mathematics, statistics, actuarial science, or a related field
OR
? A bachelor’s degree (or higher) with at least 24 semester credit hours in those subjects 

Additional Qualifications:
  • Strong knowledge of GAAP, SSAP, and relevant state and federal regulations
  • Experience conducting audits or compliance reviews in a financial or healthcare setting
  • Ability to identify operational and compliance risks, and propose data-driven solutions
  • Comfort interpreting legal and regulatory language and applying it to real-world scenarios
  • Clear and confident written/verbal communication skills
  • Proficiency with Excel, Word, Outlook, and Teams
  • A collaborative mindset and ability to adapt to evolving policies and deadlines
