Position: File Clerk Location: Centereach, NY Hours: 40 hours per week, TBD Salary: $20
Job Overview: We are seeking a diligent and organized File Clerk to manage the large volume of paperwork that comes into our clients office. The ideal candidate will have strong alphabetizing skills, the ability to spend extended periods on their feet, and excellent telephone etiquette. Responsibilities:
Filing: Organize and file incoming paperwork efficiently and accurately.
Alphabetizing: Ensure all documents are filed in alphabetical order for easy retrieval.
Telephone Management: Answer the main phone line, direct calls to the appropriate parties, and handle inquiries with professionalism.
Cataloging: Maintain and catalog our file system for warehousing, ensuring all documents are properly stored and easily accessible.
Preferred Education:
High School Diploma or Technical Degree/Certificate Program
Skills and Qualifications:
Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
Ability to stand for long periods
Proficiency in alphabetizing and filing
Excellent communication and telephone skills
